Released under the Business Source License 1.1. Run it on your own servers and change it. Each version becomes Apache-2.0 four years after it is first published.

What the license allows
In plain words. The license text that ships with OrchKernel is what governs.

Allowed
- Use, modify and run OrchKernel in production for your own organisation.
- Operate a deployment for one client organisation. Separate deployments for separate clients are fine.

Needs a commercial license
Offering OrchKernel, or a modified version, as a hosted or managed service in which one deployment serves more than one organisation. That is multi-tenant hosting. Talk to OrchStack about a commercial license.

Becomes Apache-2.0
Each version becomes Apache-2.0 four years after it is first published.
Client libraries are Apache-2.0.
Self-hosted: one binary and one database file, with Docker and Kubernetes assets.
